Sander joined AM in 2003, where he became responsible for sales in the Northwest region. Since 2008, as commercial director at AM, he was responsible for all commercial activities, including sales, sustainability, area economics and market research. He also joined AM's investment committee in 2008, where he became jointly responsible for the investment climate within AM's projects.

In addition to his role at AM, Sander is a member of the housing market committee of sector association NEPROM, a member of the Supervisory Board of nieuwbouw.nl, a member of BOEi's investment committee and a lecturer at NVM's Academy for Real Estate, among other things. In addition, Sander is one of the initiators of the Experience Center Homestudios.
