The Oranje Nassau Kades area is located close to the city center and along the banks of the Hollandse IJssel. It comprised former industrial sites and the municipal yard, which were excellently suited for the development of a high-quality residential and living environment. In the urban layout, explicit connection was sought with the atmosphere of the old city center and with the industrial heritage of the area.

Three planned parts
A prominent feature in Oranje Nassau Kades is the new marina at Zomerweg. Surrounding this marina is the first phase, the Zomerweg location, with homes (some with their own mooring) and apartments. In the Eiteren phase, homes have also been built along the quay. In the third planned part, Hollandsche Werf, located on the site of the former municipal yard, both owner-occupied homes and social rental homes are being built, commissioned by the housing corporation Provides.
