The new residential icon is located on the edge of the Schoemaker Plantage and includes 72 spacious three- and four-room apartments. With energy label A+++, the homes are particularly energy efficient. At this standard, much of the energy consumption is generated sustainably with solar panels and a heat pump system for space and water heating and cooling. Better for the climate and lower energy costs for residents. The Schoemaker Tower is characterized by detailing with sustainable materials in the facade. This ensures the preservation of high quality in the future. The realization is in the hands of BAM Wonen. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2026.

In addition to the new Schoemaker Tower, 110 social housing units are being realized within the Grasbuurt (phase 4) in cooperation with housing corporation Vidomes. The housing offer is aimed at starters, people moving on and seniors, among others. Construction is expected to start in mid-May. BAM Wonen is responsible for the construction. Completion is in mid-2027.

The Klinkerbuurt will also be expanded (phase 4). These plans will be further developed in the coming period. The first images and purchase price indications are expected to be published around summer 2025. The forecast for the start of sales is in the second half of 2025.

Alderman Maaike Zwart of the municipality of Delft performed the official act for the start of construction in the presence of buyers and project stakeholders: “With the start of construction of the Schoemaker Tower, we take another beautiful step in the development of a sustainable and green residential area in Delft. These energy-efficient apartments not only offer a nice place to live, but also enable us to provide housing for more people in our city. In this way we contribute to our ambitions for a future-proof city, with space for all generations.”

Schoemaker Plantage is located opposite Delft University of Technology and a ten-minute bike ride from the center of Delft. The neighborhood consists of the Klinkerbuurt, Grasbuurt and Schoemaker Toren. Schoemaker Plantage has grown into a pleasant and lively as well as sustainable residential neighborhood with, among other things, zero-to-the-meter homes and pilots for shared mobility at district level. Schoemaker Plantage is also characterized by a lot of greenery, including a 2.5-hectare park with great attention to biodiversity and climate adaptation. Part of the park includes a tiny forest; a dense patch of forest with more than 1,000 trees of 36 native species.
