AM starts realizing 303 rental and owner-occupied homes in Amstelveen according to WELL for residential

20 June 2024

Area developer AM starts the realization of Dutch Masters in Amstelveen. The residential building is sustainable and healthy and has 303 rental and owner-occupied homes. Dutch Masters in Amstelveen has an artistic and refined design. With a mix of both mid-priced and private sector homes, the plan offers a new home for different target groups. Investor Redevco is a buyer of the 172 rental properties. More than 75% of the 131 owner-occupied homes have already been sold. The realization is in the hands of BAM Wonen.

Green and healthy as a starting point

What is unique about Hollandse Meesters is that it is the first and only project in the Netherlands to participate in the new WELL for residential program of the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). This gives priority to the health, comfort and well-being of the residents. They will soon enjoy a sustainable and green residential building.

Masterpiece

This masterpiece, near the city center of Amstelveen, was designed by Rijnboutt Architects. The building has a base with two towers on top, a fifteen-storey tower for owner-occupied homes and a seventeen-storey tower for rental properties. Below the building there is a two-storey parking garage with 207 spaces for cars, communal bicycle sheds and shared mobility.

The living concept is characterized by sharing and meeting. There will be Friends homes, a shared living room, a communal courtyard and roof terraces. There will also be a commercial space, especially for residents and local residents.

The building is designed in a U-shape with an open orientation on the adjacent green canal with water. This park landscape is extended like a green carpet to the courtyard and the greenery on the facades.

Official act

During a festive meeting on June 20, Amstelveen councilor Floor Gordon of spatial planning performs the official act. Together with representatives of AM, Redevco and BAM Wonen, a colorfully painted prefab concrete foundation pile will be driven into the ground. Floor Gordon: “After years of preparations, we have managed to add a good mix of homes in a beautiful building. A green and iconic place in the city center of Amstelveen. A real landmark.” The festive start of construction is celebrated with buyers and relations.
