The Schoemaker Plantage has grown into a nice and lively residential area with lots of greenery and a 2.5 hectare park, in which full attention has been paid to biodiversity and climate adaptation. After the realization of the Klinkerbuurt residential area, work is now underway on the third and final phase of single-family homes in Grasbuurt. The plan previously consisted exclusively of larger single-family homes, but has been partly redeveloped to meet the high demand from starters and young families for affordable owner-occupied homes. Following previous phases, the design is also in the 'New Delft School' architectural style and comes from Bedaux de Brouwer Architects and WAM architects. Construction, which is in the hands of BAM Wonen, already started this summer. Delivery of the first homes is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025.

Today, councilor Maaike Zwart of the municipality of Delft, together with Gilbert Kokenberg, director of project development at AM, and several buyers, will perform the official act for the start of construction of Grasbuurt 3.

New offering in the Schoemaker Plantation is formed by the Schoemaker Tower sub-plan. The striking residential tower is located on the edge of the green surroundings of the Schoemaker Plantage and consists of 72 spacious three- and four-room apartments. Seventy percent of the homes have now been sold. Construction will start in the first quarter of 2025. There are 68 parking spaces in the associated private parking lot. All homes in the Schoemaker Tower are very sustainable and have energy label A+++.
