Besides Breda, Apeldoorn and Utrecht were also in the race for the highly coveted title. The nominees were determined by a professional jury, after which a children's jury chose the final winner. The professional jury also awarded a support price to Amsterdam. The title 'most play-friendly municipality of the Netherlands' is a wonderful recognition for Breda and also an encouragement for all municipalities in the Netherlands to commit themselves to a strong playing policy and offering playing opportunities and space for all children.
