The 110 two-, three- and four-room apartments are energy-efficient and prepared for the future. The social housing fits thus well into the housing stock of Vidomes. They are suitable for people moving on, families, singles and starters. AM and Vidomes realize 110 social rental homes in area development Schoemaker Plantation Delft
18 December 2024Housing corporation Vidomes and area developer AM are joining forces to realize 110 new social rental homes in the Grasbuurt neighborhood in Delft. The new residential building is part of the Schoemaker Plantage area development in Delft. The construction of the homes is in the hands of BAM Wonen. Construction will start in the first quarter of 2025 and completion is scheduled for mid-2027. For the purchase and construction of the homes, Vidomes and AM today signed a turnkey realization agreement (collaboration from drawing board to completion).

Building for various target groups
Lively green residential area
The Schoemaker Plantation has grown into a pleasant and lively residential neighborhood with lots of greenery and a 2.5-hectare park with great attention to biodiversity and climate adaptation. For example, the plan has its own tiny forest; a dense patch of forest with more than 1,000 trees of 36 native species. This not only encourages biodiversity, but it also provides cleaner air and water absorption during heavy precipitation.
The Schoemaker Plantation consists of several neighborhoods with a varied residential program for a wide mix of residents. After the realization of the Klinker neighborhood, the second last sub-plan of the Grass neighborhood is currently under construction. This is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2025. The 110 new homes form the final phase of this residential neighborhood.
Area developer AM developed the residential building with the new homes. Gilbert Kokenberg (Director of Project Development) is pleased with the collaboration with Vidomes: “We are proud that together we have succeeded in starting the realization of this new housing development. This residential building is an important addition to the Schoemaker Plantation residential program.”
