Block NZ3 is part of the large-scale Elzenhagen Zuid area development, where approximately 1,800 homes are being built. The first blocks in the Zuidbuurt have been sold and are under construction. The construction of block NZ3 marks the start of housing construction in the Noordbuurt, the new neighborhood in Elzenhagen South.
In the Noordbuurt there will be a total of approximately 750 homes spread over six building blocks. The neighborhood will have the characteristics of a building city with composite building blocks, each with its own height accent. Block NZ3 is the first of six building blocks and has a thirteen-storey tower. The range includes a total of 211 homes, of which 60% are social rental and 40% medium-priced rental, and is extra energy efficient due to the increased BENG requirements. The houses are located around a communal green courtyard designed by Sant & Co. Rainwater is collected on the roof and in the wadi in the garden. The building design is by Arons and Gelauff architects. The plinth of the building will house maisonette houses with lots of plastic in the facades. With careful brick detailing, green facades and the integration of various outdoor spaces, each of the NZ3 buildings has its own appearance.
AM, Blauwhoed and De Alliantie Ontwikkeling start realizing 211 social and mid-priced rental homes in Amsterdam North
29 May 2024Amsterdam – The official go-ahead for the realization of Blok NZ3, a residential building with 211 social and mid-priced rental homes in the new Noordbuurt of Elzenhagen Zuid in Amsterdam Noord has been given. The plan, which is a development by CZAN Development (a collaboration between area developer AM and Blauwhoed), meets the high demand for affordable rental housing. Housing association De Alliantie is the buyer of the homes. The realization is in the hands of BAM Wonen. Future residents of the Noordbuurt will soon enjoy a nice, green and sustainable residential location next to Noord station, which will take you to the city center within five minutes.

Area transformation Amsterdam North Center Area (CAN)
The development of Elzenhagen Zuid is part of the entire area transformation of the Amsterdam North Center Area (CAN), the center of the northern part of Amsterdam. The area is located between the Nieuwe Purmerweg, the Ring A10, the Olof Palmeplein and the Noordhollandsch Kanaal and is being developed in phases. Station Noord is located in the heart of CAN, the starting station of the North/South line, which makes Amsterdam CS accessible within five minutes.
CZAN Development has been involved in area development in CAN for a long time. AM and Blauwhoed previously realized the residential areas Elzenhagen Noord and Noorderkwartier. The station area has also been given a boost with the realization of a wide range of housing, hotels and associated facilities.

During the festive meeting on May 28, all those involved performed the official act together, during which a puzzle was put together with the representatives of De Alliantie, Blauwhoed, AM and BAM Wonen and a beautiful impression of block NZ3 became visible.
